The beauty of its instruments has distinguished Antoine Courtois from other brands for over 2 centuries.Currently located in Amboise, the company was initially founded in Paris in 1803 though the Courtois family had been manufacturing early cavalry trumpets since 1789. To this day Antoine Courtois is the only company capable of building an original saxhorn, a highly sought after instrument for interpreting works of the 19th century.While perpetuating its traditional manufacturing ways, Antoine Courtois’ know-how has greatly innovated through time as it has opened up to other musical styles and sounds.Antoine Courtois embodies the French elegance which so many musicians and conductors seek.
